What we liked
- + Complete starter kit with tripod, finder scope and two eyepieces at about $28
- + Stated 20x to 100x range with a 50mm aperture covers the Moon and bright planets
- + The listing says it is easy to set up and use for a child's first stargazing sessions
Trade-offs
- - A 50mm lens is the smallest aperture in this guide, so image brightness and detail are limited
- - Little is said about optical coatings or tripod construction, and the brand is unknown
