What we liked
- + Tabletop tripod with a smooth mount makes it simple for a child to scan the Moon's surface
- + Finder scope plus low and high power eyepieces help kids find the Moon and then zoom in
- + Priced near $45, a modest cost for a branded first scope built for ages 8 to 12
Trade-offs
- - Sold for lunar views, so planets and deep-sky objects will show little detail
- - The listing does not state aperture or focal length, which makes it hard to compare with other kids scopes
