What we liked
- + 70mm aperture at f/7.1 with a Barlow gives more magnification options than a typical 50mm kids scope
- + Phone adapter, wireless remote and carrying case are included for photos and travel
- + Adjustable aluminum tripod and 5x24 finderscope make targets easy to locate
Trade-offs
- - It is a refractor on an AZ tripod, not the tabletop Dobsonian style of the scope it replaces
- - At about $84 it costs more than the basic 50mm kids scopes, and the listing is loosely worded
