What we liked
- + Five-section legs span 18 to 60 inches, and the invertible center column lowers the camera for low-angle foregrounds.
- + The 25mm ball head with a quick-release plate is stated to hold about 8 kg without oil damping.
- + Detachable monopod leg adds daytime versatility, and the carbon legs keep the weight modest for travel.
Trade-offs
- - The small 25mm head is the limiting part for a long lens, and fine framing adjustments are less precise than a geared head.
- - Five sections and a monopod leg add joints, which lowers stiffness slightly compared with a fixed four-section design.
