What we liked
- + A 22 lb (10 kg) capacity at about 3.15 lb leaves headroom for a DSLR with a telephoto, or a camera on a small tracker.
- + Detachable 40mm metal ball head with a low center of gravity and an Arca-type plate suits most camera bodies and L-brackets.
- + Five sections reach 61 inches, and spring-loaded flip buckles are stated to release quickly for fast height changes.
Trade-offs
- - Five leg sections mean more joints than a four-section tripod, which can cost some stiffness at full extension.
- - Sits at one of the higher price levels in this guide, and the ball head has no panning clutch noted in the shown details.
