What we liked

+ Rated for 33 lb (15 kg) while the legs weigh about 2.7 lb, a high capacity for the weight with a heavy lens or small tracker.
+ Three fixed leg angles (22, 55 and 85 degrees) and spiked feet that replace the rubber ones help on soft or uneven ground.
+ Working height runs from 3.2 inches to 47 inches, with 29.4mm top tubes that favor stiffness over the lightest weight.

- Legs only, so a ball head or tracker mount has to be bought separately, adding to the total cost.
- A 47 inch top height means kneeling or a stool for eye-level framing, and a longer lens may sit low at full extension.
