What we liked
- + Carbon fiber at about 2 lb and a 14.2 inch folded length suit carry-on travel to a dark-sky site.
- + Three leg angles (25, 50 and 80 degrees) and a center hook for a bag weight help on slopes and in wind.
- + An Arca-Swiss compatible plate, carry bag and a one-leg monopod conversion come in the box, with a 1-year warranty stated.
Trade-offs
- - Fotopro is less established than the big photo-support names, and the listing leans on travel and general photography.
- - The detachable monopod leg adds a joint that a plain tripod does not have, which may matter for long exposures.
