What we liked
- + Lanthanum glass is known for giving comfortable eye relief at shorter focal lengths
- + 8-24mm range lets you frame a target then zoom in without swapping eyepieces
- + Pro series build aims above entry-level zooms in feel and clarity
Trade-offs
- - Costs more than basic zooms with the same focal length range
- - Narrow field at the low-power end makes star-hopping less relaxed than a wide eyepiece
