What we liked
- + 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain aperture with a computerized mount fits the go-to role this guide covers
- + Five fully multi-coated Plossl eyepieces and a 2x Barlow give ten power combinations in the box
- + The kit adds a molded, foam-padded case for carrying and storing the optical tube
Trade-offs
- - At about $2,389 it is a major purchase and far above entry-level go-to scopes
- - The listing says little about tracking accuracy or alignment steps beyond the computerized mount
