What we liked
- + Tabletop Dobsonian mount keeps the whole setup simple: set it on a sturdy surface, point and look, with no tripod to assemble.
- + The listing gives a 300 mm focal length and 4.3 lb kit weight, so it is easy to carry and store in a small space.
- + Celestron is an established telescope brand, and the listing is built around beginners and quick Moon and planet sessions.
Trade-offs
- - A 76mm aperture gathers less light than larger tabletop scopes, so faint deep-sky targets will look dim.
- - The listing names one eyepiece at 30x and a short feature list, so extra eyepieces may be needed for more magnification options.
