What we liked
- + StarSense AutoAlign handles sky alignment automatically, with no star selection by the user
- + A 130mm, 650mm focal length reflector on a motorized mount locates over 4,000 objects from a built-in database
- + Battery pack is listed for over 30 hours, and the hand control software can be flash upgraded
Trade-offs
- - At about $723 it costs more than basic go-to scopes, and the 130mm reflector is smaller than the old 5i's class suggests
- - The listing is terse and a star pointer finder is the only aiming aid it mentions
