What we liked
- + 127mm Maksutov optics deliver sharp contrast on the Moon, planets and double stars
- + Computerized SkyAlign mount finds objects without needing star-hopping skill
- + Portable tripod setup is lighter than the SE line for easy transport
Trade-offs
- - SLT tripod and mount are lighter duty, so vibration takes time to settle
- - Narrow Maksutov field is poor for large clusters and wide nebulae
