What we liked
- + 15mm eye relief stays comfortable across the zoom range, even for many glasses wearers
- + Fully multi-coated 7-element design keeps images bright and contrasty while zooming
- + Covers medium to high power, so it can replace several short fixed eyepieces
Trade-offs
- - Apparent field shrinks at the long end, so wide sweeping views still need another eyepiece
- - Shorter zoom range than the popular wider-range zooms at the low-power end
