What we liked
- + 100mm objective lenses at 25x, the largest tripod-mounted binocular Celestron lists, for deep-sky views
- + BaK-4 prisms maximize light throughput for brighter, more detailed images in dim conditions, per the listing
- + Built-in 1/4 inch-20 tripod adapter, rubber-armored housing and a water-resistant exterior
Trade-offs
- - Too large to hand-hold: Celestron recommends a photo tripod, which is not included
- - Water-resistant only, not fully waterproof and nitrogen purged like the SkyMaster Pro ED
