What we liked
- + Same brand as the Gosky 20-60x80 it replaces, with an 80mm objective lens and 20x to 60x continuous zoom.
- + Dual focus system with coarse and fine dials makes it quick to lock onto a target and refine sharpness.
- + Nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for waterproof and fogproof use, and the kit includes tripod, phone adapter and carry bag.
Trade-offs
- - Zoom spotting scopes lose brightness at 60x, so the high end suits daytime use better than faint sky targets.
- - Listing is written for bird watching, so there is no astronomy-specific accessory or guidance.
