What we liked
- + 10-inch Newtonian with XLT coatings is listed for the Orion Nebula, Andromeda Galaxy and Saturn
- + StarSense app reads star patterns to show where your scope points and arrows you to the target
- + Manual Dobsonian base is simple to move around the sky with no batteries needed for the mount
Trade-offs
- - At $1,199 it sits well above a standard 10-inch Dob, as the app system adds to the price
- - A 10-inch Dob is large and heavy to move and store, which the listing does not detail
