What we liked
- + 50mm objective brings many additional stars into view, which the listing says makes brighter deep-sky objects directly visible
- + 90-degree viewing angle keeps searching comfortable even when the telescope points near the zenith
- + Achromatic multicoated optics at 9x, with focusing at the objective lens and alignment by two screws and a spring
Trade-offs
- - A 9x50 finder is larger and heavier than a 6x30, which can upset the balance of a small, light telescope tube
- - The listing says the holder fits most telescopes but does not name the base type, so confirm your finder shoe
