A 6x30 correct-image finder scope with crosshairs from Alstar. The correct-image view matches a printed star chart, which helps when you point a telescope by star-hopping.

What we liked
- + Correct-image optics show the sky the same way round as a star chart, so matching star patterns is simpler
- + Wide field with crosshairs: center the object in the finder and it is already centered in the main telescope
- + Three small adjustment screws let you align it with the main telescope in a few minutes, per the listing
Trade-offs
- - The listing highlights do not say whether the eyepiece is right-angle or straight-through, so check the photos
- - The listing itself calls the 30mm objective small, and a 9x50 finder will show fainter stars
