What we liked
- + 4 x 4 inch sheet is a handy size for binocular objectives, finders and small refractors
- + Safe white light film shows sunspots and eclipse phases once mounted in a proper cell
- + Lets you make a filter that exactly matches an odd-sized front aperture
Trade-offs
- - Too small for most mid-size telescopes, which need a larger sheet or ready-made filter
- - Film must be taped into a secure full-aperture cell, since a loose sheet can blow off in wind
