What we liked
- + Motor drive keeps targets centered, so you spend less time nudging the slow-motion knobs
- + 130mm aluminized mirror gives bright views of clusters, nebulae and the planets
- + Tracking makes it easier to share the view with family members taking turns
Trade-offs
- - Motor drive only tracks after rough polar alignment, which new users must learn first
- - Drive needs batteries, so keep spares on hand for long nights outdoors
