What we liked
- + 3X factor turns a single low-power eyepiece into a high-power planetary option
- + Achromatic design reduces color fringing added by the extra lens
- + Low price makes it an easy way to expand an eyepiece collection
Trade-offs
- - 3X power can push small telescopes past their useful magnification limit
- - Adds length to the eyepiece train, which can make balancing a small scope harder
