What we liked
- + 80mm fully-coated optics give bright views of the Moon and landscapes
- + Smartphone adapter makes quick lunar snapshots easy for beginners
- + Portable build is simple to carry for trips and events
Trade-offs
- - Poor fit for solar viewing: never aim it at the Sun unless a certified solar filter covers the front
- - No solar filter in the kit, so a separate full-aperture certified filter is essential
