# Best Green Laser Pointers for Sky Tours (2026) Source: https://stargazernest.com/best/laser-pointers Updated: 2026-09-15 Publisher: Stargazer Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://stargazernest.com/how-we-research#our-score A green laser pointer throws a visible beam that appears to touch the stars, making it excellent for pointing out constellations during a sky tour or for aligning a finder. Green is used because the eye sees it far more easily than red at night. The important considerations are legal output power in your country, since many places cap or restrict laser pointers, along with build quality and battery behavior, as cheap units dim badly in cold weather. A bracket that mounts the laser to the telescope adds a handy pointing aid. Laser pointers suit outreach hosts, teachers, and observers who guide others around the sky. A practical tip and a firm rule: never aim a laser anywhere near aircraft, which is dangerous and illegal, and be mindful of others at a dark site. Keep the beam low and brief, use it only to indicate stars, and switch it off promptly to protect everyone's night vision. ## Picks ### 1.
